All dog handlers must be 16 years old or older to participate.

Puppy training classes are designed for puppies 3 to 6 months old.
All semesters are 8 weeks long. Each class is 1 hour long.
Puppies must have proof of current Parvo and Distemper vaccinations.
Puppies 4 months and over must also have proof of current Rabies vaccination.

Puppy Class is primarily a socialization experience for puppies that are too young to go into formal training.  It is also a learning experience for their owners. Classes consist of 8 weeks of basic puppy kindergarten training, using only rewards and positive reinforcements for shaping the appropriate and desired behaviors from the puppy.  Each week the instructor will provide up-to-date information on a wide variety of health and behavior problems.

Dogs must be 6 months of age or older to enroll in the Beginning Obedience, Rally Obedience, and Advanced Obedience classes.
All semesters for adult dogs are 8 weeks long.  Each class is one hour long.
Dogs must have proof of current Rabies, Parvo and Distemper Vaccinations.

Beginning (Pre-Novice) Obedience Class is a basic pet manners class.  Dogs are taught to heel on leash, sit, down, stay, stand for examination, and to come when called.  Owners are also instructed on ways to prevent their dogs from jumping, chewing, digging and how to control an excitable dog.
All exercises will be done with the dogs on leash.

Senior Obedience Class is the same as the Beginning (Pre-Novice) Obedience Class but is designed for handlers ages 50 and over.

Dogs must successfully have completed the Beginning Obedience Class or Senior Obedience Class before being eligible to enroll in the Advanced and/or Rally Obedience Classes.

Advanced (Novice) Obedience Class will begin where the Beginning Class left off with the basic obedience exercises being further refined and polished.  More emphasis will be placed on attention exercises such as off-leash heeling, recall, sit stay, and down stay.  In addition, class teams will receive an introduction to Rally Obedience, a new dog sport which emphasizes teamwork and enthusiasm and a happy working team.

Open Obedience classes will be offered for those who have successfully completed the Advanced Class and are interested in going further with obedience.  Open work adds skills like retrieving and jumping and a drop on recall.  In the Open class the dogs will learn to do sit stays and down stays with the handler out of site.

Rally Obedience Class consists of eight weeks of training.  Rally Obedience is an exciting new obedience competition being offered by the AKC, UKC, and APDT.  Handler/Dog teams are required to negotiate an obedience course by completing exercises that are designated by signs throughout the course. In Rally Trials handlers are allowed to talk to and encourage their dogs throughout the course which makes for a happy working dog and a less formal, more relaxed atmosphere.  Rally Obedience class is especially beneficial to those who are interested in competing in Obedience Trials with their dogs, but it is also a fun way to further refine your dog's obedience skills.
